TASSAROLO won well over hurdles last time and should be up to scoring back on the Flat off this kind of mark. The Farrh gelding was a bargain buy out of Godolphin and is still relatively unexposed. He actually ran well on his most recent Flat outing, finishing fifth at Dundalk last December. The lowly-rated Celtic Druid ran well when third at Leopardstown last time and a similar effort would see him in the mix. Eamon Delany loves to have a winner here and joint top-weight Lohengrin also has to be on the shortlist, following a solid run to finish third at Limerick. |
This may be decided by those at the top of the weights with recent hurdles winner TASSAROLO appealing most. He's proven progressive in that code and returns to the flat off a generous mark on his winter AW form with the step up in trip likely to be in his favour. He can account for frustrating maiden Lohengrin who hinted at a revival in claiming company last time and is potentially well treated returning to handicaps. Of those at bigger prices inconsistent veteran Tara Power makes some small appeal. He was outstayed over 13f at a stiff track last time but is now only 2lb higher than when winning on the AW over the winter. |

Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap over 10f at Down Royal most recent; generally out of form; needs to improve |

Slowly away down the field in a handicap over 9f at Leopardstown most recent; plenty more needed even off this basement mark |
