The key to this race could be the recent clash at Doncaster between TOOTA (second) and Dolly's Delight (third), with preference for the former on this occasion off the same mark. She is narrowly preferred to Almutraf, who was a revelation on her first start for new connections when scoring at Newcastle recently off 3lb lower. Others to note include Campani, I Can Boogy and Mavetheforcebewivu. |
A weak affair where few can be trusted to deliver their best and those in form don't set an inspiring standard. Toota is tempting as one of a very few that can be trusted (up to a point) to run her race and give something like best but she'll likely to find a few too good. DOLLY'S DELIGHT could be the solution having improved markedly on a poor season opener to grab a place at Doncaster last time beaten a little over a length. That was just her sixth run and she can build on that and hopefully open her account. Almutraf, the only last timne out winner in the field, is a big threat given that win came off the back of a near six month break and he has fair scope for improvement on just his sixth run. He should go close if transferring his ability to the turf (his debut run came on deep ground, his only go on turf). Mavetheforcebewivu is interesting having belied huge odds of 125/1 to land a place last time and may be able to build on that now rediscovering some form. However, she's been seriously inconsistent so far in her career and is a risky proposition at much shorter odds. That said, if running her race she'll be bang there |
