Having caught the eye staying on late on her first run beyond a mile last time, AMAVASYA has to be of interest over further still. The Michael Grassick-trained filly also has the advantage of racing against her own age group here, after picking up valuable handicap experience against her elders in that aforementioned Leopardstown race. Bred to appreciate a test of stamina, the daughter of Sea The Moon has strong claims despite her wide draw. Whats New has shaped with promise on a couple of occasions since switching to handicaps. Perhaps, the application of a first-time visor can bring about further improvement. Lisnadill should be involved having suffered an interrupted passage when third at Gowran recently. |
The race which CASHELDALE LASS won last time may be the key to this contest. She was worth more than the winning margin that day despite getting first run so is taken to defy a rise in the weights. Of those in behind her that day Lisnadill looks the biggest danger on these revised terms. She missed the break last time so had no chance after conceding first run but finished well suggesting this step up in trip would be of benefit. Of those at bigger prices Miss Americana could surprise at a big price on her handicap debut. She's well treated off this basement mark judged on her penultimate run and should appreciate this step back up in trip. |

Having caught the eye staying on late on her first run beyond a mile last time, AMAVASYA has to be of interest over further still. Bred to appreciate a test of stamina, the daughter of Sea The Moon has strong claims despite her wide draw. Whats New has shaped with promise on a couple of occasions since switching to handicaps. Looked to want further down the field in a maiden over 7f at Leopardstown most recent; off a short-break; opening mark potentially lenient; contender |
