There was cut in the ground when UNICO finished an encouraging second at Goodwood last month. Chris Gordon's filly has eased in the weights since her last success and looks up to carrying top weight to victory in this lower grade. Crocodile Power also faces an easier assignment than when runner-up at Catterick in May and he can have a say in the outcome, while Newcastle third Cuban Storm returns to the turf with a shout off his current mark. |
SUPERIOR COUNCIL has been in good form since transferring to Iain Jardine's yard, with a 6th on stable debut back in May; that was his first run for well over seven months, therefore he was entitled to come on for the run. And he did just that with a win off the mark of 67 at Hamilton last month, before backing that up again with a 2nd at Ayr a few weeks later. He was well beaten that day, but the winner was given a freebie on the front end; therefore, this bigger field should suit his running style a little more, as there will be more horses to take him into the race. Baby Rover got off the mark for the first time last time, and although he was the bottom weight here, he can build on that victory last time and place here. Unico has to carry top weight here but was a decent 2nd last time out; therefore, he can fill the places here. |

Lightly raced 3yo with just four runs to his name; ran to form when beaten by 2 lengths off the mark of 54 at Redcar last time out; second run in a handicap; very unexposed and could be anything in this |

Zero wins in twelve career runs; well beaten in a handicap over 7 furlongs at Newcastle for latest effort; in good form prior to that run; placed twice in four runs for this yard; probably best watched here |

Yet to win in five career runs; appeared not to stay when well beaten in a classified race over 7 furlongs here latest; 50/1 or bigger with each run; hasn't shown much and hard to recommend here |

One win in ten runs; suited by the fast ground when landing a handicap by 1/2 a length off the mark of 45 at Redcar last time; trainer in good form; could build on that effort from last time and run well here |
