ANASHHAD and Crest of Fire boast similar profiles and are suggested as the pair to focus on. The latter built on his Newbury debut to finish second to a colt of huge potential in a decent-looking novices' event at York a fortnight ago. He should have lots more to offer. However, Roger Varian's colt showed distinct promise on his introduction - also on the Knavesmire - and already looks ready for tackling this additional yardage. Stepping up a furlong looks a perfect fit for the son of Mohaather at this stage. Mogbbel and Titanck are interesting newcomers to consider. |
ANASHHAD is a nicely bred sort who hails from a yard that is going very well at present. He was a decent 3rd on debut at York back in May, where the two horses who had the experience and finished in front of him have since gone on to run very well (Tadej 6th and Do Or Do Not 2nd) in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. The latter has also gone on to place once again in a Group 2 contest, this time at Newmarket. With the experience under Anashhad's belt and the yard horses always coming on for the run, he will be hard to peg back here before progressing even further as the season goes on. Crest Of Fire has the experience edge compared to most of these, and after a decent 2nd at York last time out, he can run well here but might have to settle for a 2nd place finish once again. And Ohara ran well on debut; he can put that experience to good use and run well here, settling for a 3rd place finish. |
