Darn Hot Gallop is unbeaten in two starts and almost certainly capable of better this season now stepping up in trip and switching to handicaps. She's not expected to have any issue with the switch to turf but the selection is WE'RE GOOSERS for Hugo Palmer. The trainer has won the last two runnings of this race, both times with an outsider, and this one holds much more obvious claims having shown fair form on his first two starts before putting clear with one other when getting off the mark at Newcastle. His opening mark seems favourable. Major Neigh Sayer is better than he was able to show on heavy ground in a French Listed event last time and he should be much happier back on a sounder surface here for this handicap debut. Pandemonium is interesting also, being another grade-dropper on this return and with Oisin Murphy booked. |

Ran to form beaten 3/4l off a 2lb lower mark at Kempton last time; effective 7/8f on sound surface; probably more to come this year and mark still seems reasonable. |
