With the form of his Tipperary second appearing solid, ROCK OF IRELAND can register a first career success. The Alan McIntyre-trained four-year-old shaped with plenty of promise on his previous start when fourth at Cork on his handicap debut. A lightly-raced gelding with more scope for improvement than the majority of these, he will lack for nothing in the saddle with Georgie Benson taking the ride. Royal runner Reaching High is a significant contender for Willie Mullins. Formerly in the care of the now-retired Sir Michael Stoute, the gelding was a winner at Wolverhampton last summer. Burren Song, a previous winner of this race, is another to consider. |
An open race which could go to RAYDAMANN on his return from hurdling. He placed in a hot handicap last time and is well treated on his flat maiden form last summer. There promises to be more to come over this longer trip and he can gain a first victory in this sphere. Beyond Your Dreams was well fancied in the Fred Winter this spring and was a 12f winner on good ground last autumn. He likely has much more to offer in this sphere and is feared most ahead of veteran Autocrat who is well treated on his winter AW form. |
