A whole host of these look to hold claims, so BEAULD AS BRASS receives what can only be a tentative vote. This undeniably represents a step up in class for George Baker's charge but he looks to be improving all the time. With four wins under his belt in little over three weeks, the five-year-old arrives razor-sharp in terms of fitness and could take another step forward to land his biggest pot to date. Sweet Reward struck over C&D on his seasonal return and must enter calculations off a 5lb higher mark, while Sovereign Sea, Burrito and Expert Witness add further spice to the race. |
BEAULD AS BRASS has been thriving of late and was worth more than the winning margin last time as his jockey did his best to find trouble. Though this will be his toughest test to date he can complete the 5 timer on favourable fast ground. The unexposed Burrito looks the biggest danger if his fitness holds up on seasonal reappearance having beaten a useful field in a maiden last summer. He promises to have much more to offer this term for leading connections. Into Battle ran well in the London Gold Cup over C&D last year and as usual that form has worked out very well. He was poorly positioned on his reappearance but can threaten here with a more positive ride. |
