A small but competitive nursery in which marginal preference is for SOCA STAR. The daughter of Starman has yet to score but she's posted a number of fine efforts, most notably when third behind Venetian Sun at Carlisle in May. A mark of 74 looks fair and the addition of first-time cheekpieces could eke out further improvement. Rogue Supremacy will find this less taxing than the two Listed events he has contested recently, and the admirably consistent Bleep Test should not be far away either. |
ROGUE SUPREMACY looks to hold the edge here having followed up a win on debut with two encouraging efforts in Listed company. The latest of those two runs when 5th of 7 can be upgraded a little as he was shuffled back at a key stage and would have been a bit closer. He looks very well-treated on handicap debut and can triumph for a second time. Soca Star looks the biggest danger having knocked on the door loudly last time. Steadily progressive John and Sean Quinn's filly is the only one in the field yet top taste success but can find a bit extra again and a mark of 74 loooks more than workable. Ice Cold Alex and Bleep Test both need to bounce back after modest efforts last time but both pose a threat if giving best. The former is marginally preferred |
