The Richard O'Brien-trained METAMORPHEUS can register a first win on the Flat. Successful over hurdles for former connections, the six-year-old has long given the impression that he could be well handicapped back on the level. However, having failed to deliver on such expectations to date, the Morpheus gelding drops back in trip here. Racing keenly, before weakening to finish fourth in a stronger race at Limerick last month, he is certainly worth another chance over this distance. Gardone has to be respected for the Eric McNamara stable. Second at Gowran Park on her penultimate start, Suityourselfboss arrives here in better form than most. |
A weak race with plenty of these arrving with poor strike rates. One of those is GARDONE whose only win came on the AW but he did prove his effectiveness on turf here last time and should appreciate this quicker ground. He is generally consistent and looks the solid option here ahead of Suityourselfboss who has looked worth another go at this longer trip of late. Veteran Together Acclaim is unreliable these days but had a slow start as an excuse last time and could complete the places at a big price. |

Weak |
