Not beaten far in his attempt to land a double at Wolverhampton last month, HENERY HAWK narrowly sets the standard and is taken to go one better at a track where he has scored several times before. Narrowly denied at Nottingham last time out, C&D winner Better must be respected, as well as Lady Of The Garr, who may not be the most consistent but showed up well when second at Beverley latest. |
LADY OF THE GARR has only won twice in her life but has put in some decent placed efforts as well, but it was a career-best effort for her when she landed a class 6 contest at Wetherby back in June when well fancied in the market. She has since struggled in a big field race at Thirsk before going on to come 2nd at Beverley just 11 days ago, where she was no match for a well-touted rival that day. She runs off the same mark here as last time and is just 1 lb higher in the weights from that victory at Wetherby. She looks primed and ready to strike in a contest of this nature, and this race could be the one. All of Better's wins have come on the all-weather surface, which includes a win over course and distance back in October of 2024. He is running pretty well lately; therefore, he can go on and claim a place spot here. And Henery Hawk could be worth a second look in this, given the form he is in at the moment. |

Down the field in a handicap over 6 furlongs at Fairyhouse on most recent run; generally out of form at the moment; yet to win in ten career starts; makes stable debut today; hard to asses his chances |

Appeared not to stay when finishing down the field in a handicap over 7 furlongs at Ayr on most recent run; generally out of form at the moment; has it all to do in this contest |
