THE REAL SCREAMER hasn't been running badly in handicaps and travelled well on soft ground at Navan last month before finishing third. He should run his race in this claimer. It was a much better contest than this that Spy finished sixth in on his return to action at Roscommon. All the forecast rain will be music to his ears as he was a close second over hurdles on soft ground at Sligo last summer. Church Mountain is another that will be far from inconvenienced by a deluge as he landed a handicap on rain-softened ground at Limerick last month. Conversely, rain doesn't look ideal for Signor Ferrari who has been in decent form on the Polytrack in Dundalk. |
A poor race but SIGNOR FERRARI has at least won 4 times in the last year and can add to that here. He wasn't disgraced over an inadequate 7f when last seen on the AW and will find this trip along with the sound surface in his favour. The Real Screamer was also twice a winner on the AW over the winter and has held his form well on turf since. He is the biggest threat while any market support for Ameilya would be of note as though she has looked regressive in both codes she proved useful for a top yard last year. |

Made too much use of beaten 9l in a handicap over 8f at Gowran Park last time; in decent form prior; up in trip; place claims |

Slowly away beaten 9l in a handicap over 11f at Sligo last time; generally out of form; down in trip; hard to recommend even off this basement mark |

Probably needed race down the field in a handicap over 7f at The Curragh most recent; went too fast that day; generally out of form; enjoys making it; plenty more needed |
