Back to winning ways with a determined success at Leicester last time out, DARK CLOUD RISING should be ready to strike back up in grade and the fact he has won over C&D before is another plus. Runner-up at Ripon last time out, It Just Takes Time is likely to enter the reckoning, along with Rousing Encore, who is much better than what he showed in the Great St Wilfrid recently. Now in the hands of Hamad Al Jehani, Artagnan is another to note on his first run since last September. |

Poor effort when finishing down the field in a handicap at Ripon last time; best at 6f, acts on any going; overall form inconsistent. |

Made too much use of when beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap at Ripon last time; usually reliable; best at 6f, acts on any surface; can fare better if ridden with more restraint. |

Stable won this last year; probably went too hard when beaten 8 1/2l in a handicap here last time; likes to lead; returns from a short break; suited by 6f with some give; poor in last two runs. |
