As a potential pace angle, VARIETY ISLAND gets the vote as he could be ideally berthed to go either side to attack from stall seven. Tickets overhauled the selection at Redcar on his most recent start but a 4lb higher mark demands more. Therefore, Enderman is suggested as a bigger danger given he could also be on the front end and wouldn't be fazed by making the running. Hurstwood and Canaria Queen have each-way appeal. |
TICKETS has a good opportunity to land a double having hit form returned to turf off a much lower mark than for the AW. Certainy on balance his AW form is better but the pick of his turf form is not too far below it and the manner of his win at Redcar suggests a 4lb rise may not be enough to halt the momentum. Juryman, in first time cheekpieces, is feared most. He left his disappointing seasonal bow well behind when dropped to this trip and staying on to get within a length of the winner a few weeks back. He's pretty unexposed at 6f still and can exploit a rails draw to track the pace before being delivered late. With luck in running he'll go close. Variety Island and Ishe Worth Agamble have claims but Hurstwood, who improved dramatically back on turf last time and has a decent record here, is fancied to make the frame |
